On the last run to a motor, pump or vibrating machine, FMC absorbs the movement that would loosen or crack a rigid joint, protecting the connection over the life of the equipment.

FMC, flexible metal conduit, is made by winding an interlocked steel strip into a tube that bends. It exists for the places a rigid conduit cannot reach: the last run into a motor, pump, transformer or light fitting, where the connection has to turn a tight corner or absorb the vibration and movement of running equipment. A rigid joint in that position would work loose or crack; FMC flexes with the machine.

For wet or oily locations, a liquid-tight version is available on request.
